Welding in HVAC Duct Production
While most HVAC duct uses mechanical connections (Pittsburgh lock, TDF flange), some applications require welding — particularly for stainless steel duct, high-pressure systems, and round duct longitudinal seams. Choosing the right welding technology ensures strong, leak-free joints that meet project specifications.

Longitudinal Seam Welder: Round Duct Essential
The Longitudinal Seam Welder (also called straight seam welder or linear seam welder) produces a continuous weld along the full length of round duct or large pipe. It's essential for stainless steel round duct, high-pressure systems, and applications where mechanical seams aren't sufficient.

The Spot Welder uses resistance welding to create quick point welds — perfect for TDF corner reinforcement, flange tab attachment, and other point connections in duct fabrication. Fast, simple, and cost-effective.

Laser Welder: Precision and Quality
The Laser Welder uses a focused laser beam for ultra-precise welding with minimal heat affected zone. Ideal for stainless steel duct, thin material, and applications where weld aesthetics matter — such as visible ductwork in architectural projects.

How to Choose
- What are you welding? Round duct seams → Longitudinal Seam Welder. Point connections/corners → Spot Welder. Stainless/precision → Laser Welder
- Material type? Stainless steel → Longitudinal Seam or Laser (not spot — galvanic corrosion). Galvanized → all work
