With normal use on galvanized steel, blades last 2-3 years before needing sharpening. Blades can be sharpened 3-4 times before replacement. Avoid cutting stainless steel or abrasive materials on standard blades, as they wear much faster.
Yes, but stainless steel is harder and more abrasive. You may need a machine with higher capacity, and blade life will be shorter. We recommend hardened high-speed steel blades for stainless applications.
