Auto duct lines automate the entire rectangular duct production process from coil to finished duct. The main difference between Line 3 and Line 5 lies in automation level and throughput.
Auto Duct Line 3: This mid-range line integrates coil loading, leveling, grooving, notching, and shearing. Folding and seam closing are typically performed manually or with separate machines. Line 3 is ideal for shops producing 2,000–5,000 m² of duct per month, offering excellent value with a smaller footprint.
Auto Duct Line 5: The fully automated Line 5 adds automatic folding and inline seam closing to the Line 3 process. Some configurations include TDF flange forming as well. With production speeds of 15–20 m/min, Line 5 handles 8,000–15,000 m² per month with minimal labor — typically 2–3 operators vs 5–6 for a Line 3 setup.
Investment Considerations: Line 5 costs roughly 60–80% more than Line 3 but can reduce labor costs by 50% and increase output by 2–3x. If your monthly volume exceeds 6,000 m² or you face labor shortages, Line 5 pays for itself within 18–24 months.
Layout Options: Line 5 is available in U-shape (compact, saves floor space) or linear I-type (easier material flow, longer footprint). Choose based on your workshop dimensions.
